Se trata de un proyecto en constante revisión y actualización como consecuencia del avance de los estudios y del conocimiento sobre las estructuras capaces de generar terremotos en Iberia, y nunca podrá considerarse completa o definitiva, tanto por la propia naturaleza científica de los datos en ella contenidos, como por el modus operandi empleado en su construcción: la colaboración altruista de numerosos investigadores en Ciencias de la Tierra. QAFI, tanto en formato Access como representada geoespacialmente, está alojada y mantenida por el Instituto Geológico y Minero de España (IGME-CSIC), y es accesible a toda la comunidad científica, técnica y sociedad en general. QAFI is a database of faults with geological evidence of proven activity during the Quaternary period (the last 2.6 million years according to the limit officially established by the SQS in 2009) of the Iberian Peninsula. It is a project in constant revision and updating as a result of the progress of studies and knowledge about the structures capable of generating earthquakes in Iberia, and can never be considered complete or definitive, both because of the scientific nature of the data contained in it, and because of the modus operandi used in its construction: the altruistic collaboration of numerous researchers in Earth Sciences. QAFI, both in Access format and geospatially represented, is hosted and maintained by the Geological Survey of Spain (IGME-CSIC), and is accessible to the entire scientific and technical community and society in general. La base de datos QAFI tiene dos objetivos principales: el almacenamiento y difusión de la información referente a las fallas activas cuaternarias de la Península Ibérica en un soporte tecnológicamente actualizado y dinámico, así como contribuir a mejorar las estimaciones de peligrosidad sísmica y a hacer más efectivos y óptimos los proyectos de infraestructuras críticas y planes de emergencia o de ordenación territorial. Revisión de datos I: Se revisó y corrigió tanto la información provista en cada uno de los registros, así como la organización interna de la base de datos. Se añadieron nuevos campos, se eliminaron algunos registros y se añadieron otros nuevos. La QAFDBI v.1.1 fue finalmente distribuida en Febrero de 2011 conteniendo 223 registros. Data revision I: The information provided in each of the records, as well as the internal organisation of the database, was reviewed and corrected. New fields were added, some records were deleted and new ones were added. QAFDBI v.1.1 was finally distributed in February 2011 containing 223 records. Revisión de datos II: La QAFDBI v.1.1 sufrió un proceso de revisión intenso, con objeto de mejorar la calidad y uniformidad de la información. Este proceso se llevó a cabo revisando la literatura referenciada en cada registro y corrigiendo el contenido de los campos cuando fuera necesario, siempre después de obtener el permiso del compilador. Con objeto de mejorar también la completitud se añadieron nuevos registros por parte del equipo autor de la base de datos, obteniendo al fin la QAFI v.2.0. Data Revision II: QAFDBI v.1.1 underwent an intensive revision process in order to improve the quality and uniformity of the information. This process was carried out by reviewing the literature referenced in each record and correcting the content of fields where necessary, always after obtaining permission from the compiler. In order to also improve completeness, new records were added by the database authoring team, resulting in QAFI v.2.0.
