Data Quality

The paper dataset which has been scanned to produce this digital archive were originally provided to DECC/BGS by oil companies as part of their obligations under licensing regulations. These paper records have been annotated by BGS geologists since c.1980 as projects funded by DECC have been undertaken. The paper set has been destroyed.
