Zeta potential measurements of rare earth element enriched apatite from Jacupiranga, Brazil under water and collector conditions. Zeta potential measurements can be used to indicate the surface behaviour of a mineral under different reagent conditions. Mineral surface behaviour is important in processing and extracting minerals from their host ore, which can be energy intensive. Apatite is a phosphate mineral which can become enriched with rare earth elements. Rare earth elements are important in a wide ra...

Zeta potential measurements of the fluorcarbonate mineral parisite-(Ce), under water, supernatant and collector conditions. Zeta potential measurements can be used to indicate the surface behaviour of a mineral under different reagent conditions. Mineral surface behaviour is important in processing and extracting minerals from their host ore, which can be energy intensive. Parisite-(Ce) is a fluorcarbonate mineral which contains rare earth elements. Rare earth elements are important in a wide range of prod...

During the period 1982-86 a team of geologists from the British Geological Survey carried out a programme of regional geological mapping and geochemical exploration in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Geological Survey under a Technical Co-operation agreement supported by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) (formerly Overseas Development Agency). Three regions of Zimbabwe were mapped (Harare, Rushinga & Nyampanda, and Makaha) and the results of the stream sediment geochemical surveys were...

Iso-content maps of Zinc (Zn), one of the chemical elements.obtained in the Geochemical Atlas of Spain Project, distributed in stream sediments (14,864 samples), superficial soils (0-20 cm.) (13,505 samples) and deeper soils (20-40 cm.) (7,682 samples). The results of the chemical analysis are shown in two types: total dissolution of the sample with 4 acids and partial dissolution with aqua regia. With the analytical results of all the sampled points, an isocontent map is made with adjustment to a square g...

Zircon U-Pb data are presented for six plutonic rocks recovered from the Pacific oceanic crust (IODP Hole 1256D). These data constrain the age of the section, as well as the duration of crustal accretion. The data cover the bulk of the plutonic section recovered and were generated during post-cruise research for IODP Expedition 335 (2011-2013; PI Lissenberg). Data collection was done at the NERC Isotope Geosciences Laboratories at the British geological Survey. NERC Isotope Geosciences Facilities award IP-...

This dataset comprises zircon U-Pb data on 11 samples, each containing ~90-150 individual grains. This method was applied to sediment samples from IODP Expedition 374 Site U1521 to the Ross Sea, collected on the RV JOIDES Resolution. Shipboard biostratigraphy and magnetostratigraphy suggests the samples are mainly early Miocene in age (McKay et al., 2019). The uppermost samples do, however, include younger Plio-Pleistocene sediments. Samples were measured using an Agilent 7900 laser ablation inductively-co...
